Instituto Cervantes in Los Angeles offers the community different types of diplomas and certificates with which to officially certify their level of proficiency in Spanish worldwide.
Among the lines of work in the academic field of the Instituto Cervantes, the evaluative activity and its administrative dimension, certification, stand out for their importance in the processes of teaching, learning, and teacher training.
Instituto Cervantes offers two types of exams to all those who, for academic, professional, or personal reasons, want to obtain an official title that internationally certifies their knowledge of Spanish:
- The exams for obtaining the DELE diplomas, which officially certify Spanish knowledge according to the levels established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (A1-C2) and are administered in several annual sessions.
- The computer-based multilevel exam (A1-C1) for obtaining the International Spanish Language Evaluation Service (SIELE) certificate, which is administered in individual appointments.
